Personalized
and Individual Attention
After spending 25 years as a high school guidance counselor, Anne Gould understands that in addition to the services provided by the school counselor, many families benefit from the additional attention that an independent college advisor is able to provide. By working with a small number of students, Anne is able to personalize the process.
Extensive
Knowledge of Colleges
As a Professional Member of the Independent Educational Consultants Association (IECA), Anne is expected to make ongoing yearly college visits. During these trips Anne meets students, learns about the campus atmosphere, and networks with college admissions staff.
Professional
Development
Anne is committed to participating in ongoing professional development by attending college admissions conferences and information sessions at specific colleges and Universities. This has contributed to the success of her students in being admitted to the schools of their choice.
Anne Gould was one of my most invaluable resources during my college search and application process. Over the course of her career she has visited many colleges and as a result has not only developed relationships with admissions officers but understands the nuances and features of those schools. She explained the process to me and my family better than any website or book and was insightful and thoughtful when helping me choose which schools were the best match for my personality, career goals, and academic interests. In fact, I never considered many of the schools she suggested, and as a result, I was accepted early decision to what turned out to be my dream college.
I found Anne Gould’s long-term experience in high school guidance counseling to be an invaluable resource in helping our daughter obtain acceptance to her ideal college. We believe Anne has a realistic insight as to the abilities of each student. Personally, she provided us with wonderful suggestions as to schools that would be perfectly matched to our daughter’s needs. We are extremely grateful to her for assisting us through this past year, what could otherwise be a very arduous process. — Parent, Valley Stream, NY
